Terms of Use

Last updated: April 2026

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any Trigops service, including the cloud operations platform, desktop application, API, or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

Service Description

Trigops is a cloud operations platform that automates the management of AWS resources — including pause and resume operations — based on user presence, desktop activity patterns, work tool usage, and configured schedules. The Service includes a web-based dashboard, a desktop application for macOS and Windows, REST APIs, and supporting backend infrastructure.

Account Registration & Security

To use the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Each account is intended for use by a single natural person. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.

AWS Account Access & Authorization

By connecting your AWS account to Trigops, you authorize us to access and perform operations on your AWS resources through IAM roles that you deploy via AWS CloudFormation. You are responsible for the scope of permissions granted through these roles. Trigops acts on your behalf according to your configuration, including automated pause and resume operations on EC2 instances, RDS databases, ECS services, and Auto Scaling Groups. You acknowledge that automated operations may affect running workloads and that you are solely responsible for configuring automation rules appropriate for your environment and workloads.

Cross-account access to your AWS resources is performed using temporary session credentials with short-lived access tokens. No static access keys, secret keys, or long-lived credentials are stored in Trigops systems. A unique encrypted identifier per organization is securely stored in our infrastructure to facilitate delegated access. You can revoke all access at any time by removing the CloudFormation stack from your AWS account, which immediately terminates Trigops's ability to access your resources.

Desktop Application

By installing and using the Trigops desktop application, you consent to: (a) monitoring of your device's idle and active status through operating system APIs; (b) detection of active and running applications on your device for work tools functionality, including collecting application names and process identifiers; (c) collection and periodic transmission of presence data (including activity status, timestamps, and device identifiers) to our servers; and (d) background communication with our servers for heartbeat synchronization, configuration updates, and automation control. The desktop application does not capture keystrokes, screen content, clipboard data, or the content of any application.

Organizations & Collaboration

Organization owners and administrators are responsible for managing member access, role assignments, and permission configurations within their organizations. By inviting members, creating partnerships, or sharing resource targets, you authorize those users to access and, where permitted by their assigned roles, operate on organization resources. Administrators should regularly review access levels, role assignments, and permission boundaries to maintain appropriate security posture.

Access to organization resources is governed by role-based and attribute-based access controls. Built-in roles (owner, administrator, operator, member) define the actions each member can perform. Organization administrators may create custom roles with specific permission configurations. Individual resources, targets, schedules, and notification groups may be shared with specific members at viewer, editor, or manager permission levels. Per-member access may be further scoped by AWS account and region. You acknowledge that your access to organization resources is subject to the permissions assigned to you by your organization administrator.

Organizations may establish partnerships with other organizations, granting controlled access to shared resources according to defined roles and permission scopes. By creating a partnership, the source organization authorizes members of the partner organization to access resources within the agreed scope. Both organizations are responsible for managing their respective members and ensuring appropriate access levels. Partnership access cascades to new members of the partner organization according to the defined shared role. Partnerships can be revoked at any time by either organization, immediately terminating the partner organization's access.

Subscription Plans, Billing & Early Adopter Pricing

Access to Service features and capabilities is governed by your subscription plan. The Early Adopter Pricing provides special pricing tiers for early adopters. We reserve the right to modify pricing structures, feature availability, plan configurations, and early adopter pricing terms with reasonable advance notice. Plan offerings and pricing may be modified, limited, or discontinued at our discretion. Paid subscriptions are billed according to the terms presented at the time of purchase or upgrade. Prices published on the Site are quoted exclusive of VAT, sales tax, and any other applicable local taxes (including Israeli VAT / מע"מ where applicable). Tax is calculated and added at checkout based on the customer's billing jurisdiction. LemonSqueezy, Inc. acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions and handles tax collection and remittance.

Notifications & Integrations

You may configure notification channels — including email, Slack, and HTTP webhook endpoints — to receive alerts about automation events, resource operations, execution hooks, and system notifications. By configuring notification channels, you authorize Trigops to transmit operational data (including resource identifiers, action types, statuses, and timestamps) to the specified endpoints. You are solely responsible for the security, access controls, and compliance of any HTTP webhook endpoints or third-party services you configure as notification destinations. Trigops is not responsible for the handling, storage, or further processing of data by third-party services or endpoints that you designate. Slack integration requires OAuth authorization with your Slack workspace; by connecting, you authorize Trigops to post messages to your selected Slack channels. You may disconnect integrations and remove notification channels at any time.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, networks, or other users' accounts or data.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or degrade the performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Service.
  • Use the Service to mine cryptocurrency or run computationally intensive workloads that are not authorized under your subscription.
  • Share, transfer, or provide access to your account credentials to any other person.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service beyond authorized API usage.
  • Violate AWS terms of service, acceptable use policies, or any applicable third-party terms through your use of Trigops.

Intellectual Property

Trigops and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including the platform, desktop application, website, documentation, APIs, algorithms, user interface designs, and all related intellectual property. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets without prior written consent. You retain all rights to your AWS resources and the data you provide. You grant Trigops a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to access, process, store, and transmit your data solely as necessary to provide the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

Any feedback, suggestions, ideas, enhancement requests, or other recommendations you provide regarding the Service become our property. We may use, modify, and incorporate such feedback into the Service or any other products for any purpose, including product development and improvement, without obligation, compensation, or attribution to you.

Certain aspects of the Trigops platform, including its activity-driven automation technology, are protected by one or more pending patent applications in the United States and potentially other jurisdictions. Unauthorized reproduction, reverse engineering, or use of Trigops's patented or patent-pending technology is strictly prohibited.

Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference. You acknowledge and agree that Trigops collects, processes, stores, and may share data as described in the Privacy Policy, including presence and activity data, usage analytics, cloud resource metadata, and work tools data. You retain ownership of your data and AWS resources at all times.

Trigops retains all rights, title, and interest in aggregated, anonymized, and de-identified data derived from your use of the Service. Such data, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you, may be used for any lawful business purpose without restriction, including analytics, benchmarking, product improvement, industry research, and marketing.

You acknowledge that Trigops logs operational activities performed within your organization, including resource management actions, automation events, configuration changes, and administrative actions. These activities are attributed to the identity that performed them and are visible to organization administrators and members with appropriate permissions. Activity logs and savings attribution data are used to generate analytics, dashboards, and reports.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TRIGOPS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. YOU ASSUME ALL RISK FOR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, OBTAINED FROM TRIGOPS OR THROUGH THE SERVICE SHALL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS. WHILE WE IMPLEMENT COMMERCIALLY REASONABLE SECURITY MEASURES, NO METHOD OF ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION OR STORAGE IS COMPLETELY SECURE, AND WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ABSOLUTE SECURITY.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRIGOPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: (A) ANY AWS COSTS, CHARGES, OR EXPENSES INCURRED AS A RESULT OF AUTOMATED OPERATIONS OR FAILURE TO PERFORM AUTOMATED OPERATIONS; (B) SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS, DOWNTIME, LATENCY, OR DELAYS IN AUTOMATION EXECUTION; (C) LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES; (D) ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM RESOURCE OPERATIONS (INCLUDING PAUSE, RESUME, OR FAILURE TO OPERATE); OR (E) FAILURES OR INTERRUPTIONS OF THIRD-PARTY SERVICES. YOU SHOULD MAINTAIN INDEPENDENT MONITORING OF CRITICAL AWS RESOURCES AND NOT RELY SOLELY ON TRIGOPS FOR PRODUCTION WORKLOAD MANAGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL TRIGOPS'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNTS ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO TRIGOPS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Trigops and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of or access to the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms of Use or any applicable law; (c) your AWS resource configurations, automation rules, or the consequences of automated operations; (d) your violation of any third-party rights; or (e) any content or data you provide to or through the Service.

Confidentiality

Each party agrees to treat as confidential any non-public information received from the other party that is designated as confidential or that reasonably should be understood to be confidential given the nature of the information and circumstances of disclosure. Neither party shall disclose the other party's confidential information to third parties except as necessary to perform its obligations under these Terms and subject to confidentiality obligations no less protective than those set forth herein. Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that: (a) is or becomes publicly available through no fault of the receiving party; (b) was known to the receiving party prior to disclosure; (c) is independently developed without use of confidential information; or (d) is required to be disclosed by law, regulation, or court order, provided the disclosing party receives prompt notice where legally permitted.

Termination

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. You may terminate by deleting your account and removing all CloudFormation stacks from your AWS accounts. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately and without prior notice if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive activity, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to access and use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain your data for a commercially reasonable period as necessary for compliance, audit, legal, or legitimate business purposes.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least thirty (30) days' advance notice via email to the address associated with your account or through a prominent in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with any modifications, you must discontinue use of the Service prior to the effective date.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. For individual users on entry-level plans, disputes may be subject to binding arbitration where permitted by applicable law, with each party bearing its own costs.

Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, war, terrorism, government actions or orders, labor disputes, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, network outages, denial-of-service attacks, or third-party service provider outages (including cloud infrastructure providers). The affected party shall provide prompt notice and use commercially reasonable efforts to resume performance.

General Provisions

These Terms of Use, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Trigops regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications. Our failure to enforce any provision of these terms shall not be construed as a waiver of that provision or the right to enforce it in the future. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. You may not assign, transfer, or delegate these terms or any rights or obligations hereunder without our prior written consent. We may freely assign these terms.
